Graduation Practice
Ugh, lots of screaming and violence.
Later, I was going to a medical school graduation rehearsal. No one knew what the plan was, and no one seemed to care except for me. My roommate was napping, and everyone else was just sitting around.
I wore a black sweater and a long, full brown skirt, and for the real graduation I planned on wearing this incredible pale blue skirt from Anthropologie. I was trying these black stockings with strange black snaking cords that looked like vines on but no one would comment about how they looked. Rini looked at them, but didn’t have a lot to say. Then we had to line up for the pre-rehearsal snacks.

Do you always make sure to note brand names in your dreams? For example, you noted that the skirt came from Anthropologie; do your shoes and other accoutrements have brand names attached? What do you think it says about the power of marketing that even random nueronal firings in dream states involve brand names? Do you find this disturbing? Is this blog a place for discussion of these dream-related issues, or merely a place for the relation of your own dreams. Inquiring (and dreamy) minds want to know.
I think this illustrates more my obsession with expensive and unattainable fashion, as the skirt in question was a $200 item I saw at Anthropologie and have been lusting after ever since; the store Anthropologie was not overtly in the dream (but perhaps that's your point.)
I strongly encourage discussion, especially from such bright minds as YOU, anonymous.
Y'know, there was a "Futurama" episode in which we discovered that in the Future, dreams will have advertisements ("This dream was brought to you by Calvin Klein") and product placement. Are we there yet?
